Enjoying the May Garden

ProPlugger Co - Wednesday, May 22, 2013

A long anticipated springtime has arrived! Homestead Purple verbena spilling over the wall, where it will bloom faithfully, summer through fall.

Sarah Bernhardt peony with iris.

A newly planted Old Blush rose and two Elsa Spath clematis climbing the pyramid trellis we built this winter with this DIY plan from Birds and Blooms.

I don't know the name of this beautiful rose. It has struggled so much that at times that I was certain I needed to pull it out and plant a more hardy rose in its place. This year it has surprised me with added height and beautiful blooms - a hopeful sign it's here to stay.

Raindrops on roses.

Backyard in bloom with Knock Out rose bushes and a Don Juan rose centered on the stone post.

Sweetly scented Confederate jasmine reaching for a white trellis that is an unrealized dream for now.

Thank you for stopping in to visit our May garden!
